We’re excited to announce the EarthCARE validation campaign taking place in Thessaloniki, Greece from April 22 to May 22, 2025, with the participation of top research teams from across Europe!

3 sites: Urban (Kedek), Semi-urban (AUTH campus), and Rural (Epanomi) aligned with satellite overpasses

🛰️ Campaign Objectives:

Direct validation of EarthCARE satellite products related to aerosol & cloud optical properties

Investigate the spatiotemporal variability of solar radiation under various aerosol-cloud conditions

Validate and intercalibrate low-cost sensors and handheld instruments

Explore 3D cloud structures and their radiative impacts, linked with the CERTAINTY project
