We are pleased to report the successful conclusion of our recent HARMONIA-COST Action workshop, which gathered 25 researchers and specialists representing 11 countries on the island of Astypalaia.

The event served as a vibrant forum for knowledge exchange, strategic planning, and highlighting cutting-edge scientific contributions:

🔹 Focus on Early-Career Innovation: Young researchers presented significant breakthroughs achieved during the HARMONIA project, made possible through the support of Action grants. Their work underscores the vital role of early-career funding in driving research forward.
🔹 Strategic Alignment: Constructive panel discussions were held to align key deliverables and milestones for the final months of the HARMONIA project lifecycle.
🔹 Sustainable Infrastructure Case Study: Attendees explored the “Astypalaia Smart & Sustainable Island” initiative. The group evaluated how e-mobility, electric vehicles (EVs), and modern infrastructure integration can serve as a blueprint to drastically lower carbon emissions on small, geographically isolated islands.

Acknowledgments:
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Cultural Society of Astypalaia for their generous hospitality in providing our venue and introducing our international delegation to authentic local delicacies.

Thank you to all participants, grant holders, and organizers for making this workshop an impactful step forward in our shared mission.
